Product Notices
1. This reagent has been pre-diluted for use at the recommended Volume per Test. We typically use
1 × 10^6 cells in a 100-μL experimental sample
(a test).
2. Isotype control is not needed because the antibody has no Fc region.
3. For Research Use Only.
QC Testing:

Flow cytometric analysis of CD8 expression on mouse peripheral blood lymphocytes.
Peripheral blood mononuclear cell (PBMC) was stained with Anti-mouse CD8 Recombinant Antibody (GFP tag). Erythrocytes were lysed with Lysing Buffer. The two-parameter dot plot showing CD8 expression were derived from gated events with the forward and side light-scattering characteristics of viable lymphocytes.

Flow cytometric analysis of CD8 expression on mouse peripheral blood leucocyte populations
Mouse whole blood was stained with either Control Antibody or Anti-mouse CD8 Recombinant Antibody (GFP tag). Erythrocytes were lysed with Lysing Buffer. Bivariate pseudocolor density plots showing the correlated expression of CD8 [or control staining] versus side light-scatter (SSC-A) signals were derived from gated events with the forward and side light-scatter characteristics of intact leucocyte populations.
Description
The monoclonal antibody specifically binds to the CD8 differentiation antigen of all mouse strains tested. A subpopulation of mature T lymphocytes (i.e., MHC class I-restricted T cells, including most T suppressor/cytotoxic cells) expresses almost exclusively the CD8 αβ heterodimer. Subsets of γδ TCR-bearing T cells, intestinal intrapithelial lymphocytes, and dendriticcells express CD8a without CD8b. It has been suggested that the expression of the CD8a/CD8b heterodimer is restricted to T lymphocyteswhich matured in the thymus or in an extrathymic environment that had been influenced by thymus-initiated neuroendocrine signals. CD8 isan antigen coreceptor on the T-cell surface which interacts with MHC class I molecules on antigen-presenting cells or epithelial cells.
